HYDES, MD—An annual tradition lives on this year in Hydes.
The Knights of Columbus Long Green Council #8736 will host the 10th annual Fish Fry at St. John the Evangelist Church Hall in Hydes. The Fish Fry will occur on Friday, March 31, 2023 from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m.
“We look forward to the annual Fish Frys at the church each year as we enter into the Lenten season and encourage folks to attend and let us cook for you,” said Grand Knight Chris Phillips. “This is a great way to enjoy excellent food, take part in fellowship and most of all have fun.”
The diverse, Lenten menu includes a $13 fish platter that includes fries, Cole Slaw, a fresh roll and a drink and a $14 shrimp platter that also includes fries, Cole Slaw, a fresh roll, and a drink. There is a kids menu that includes macaroni and cheese, fries, applesauce and a drink or a slice of cheese pizza, fries, applesauce and a rink for $5. There are desserts available as well.
Attendees can eat-in at the church hall or take out and beer and wine are available for adults 21 years and older. Debit cards and credit cards are accepted.
Diners are invited to join in the Stations of the Cross at 7 p.m. at the church.
Having just celebrated 200 years, the Mission of St. John the Evangelist Church “is to Love God, love others, proclaim the good news, and make disciples for at least another 200 years.”
