ESSEX, MD—Police in Baltimore County are investigating an Essex shooting that left one person injured on Tuesday evening.

At just after 7:45 p.m. on January 24, officers responded to the 900-block of Holgate Drive (21221) following reports of a shooting.

At the scene, police found an adult male victim suffering from a gunshot wound.

The victim was taken to an area hospital with serious injuries.

Detectives continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding this incident.  Police say more information will be provided as it becomes available.
