Shots fired during Route 40 road rage incident in Rosedale, rideshare driver involved in Nottingham altercation

NOTTINGHAM, MD—Police are investigating a road rage shooting, an assault, and a burglary that were reported over the Christmas weekend.

At just before 2:45 a.m. on Saturday, December 24, a driver was traveling eastbound on Pulaski Highway near I-695 in Rosedale (21237) and became involved in a road rage incident with another driver. At one point, the driver of the suspect vehicle fired at the victim’s vehicle. No one in the victim’s vehicle was struck.

At around 11 p.m. on Saturday, December 24, officers responded to the 5300-block of Campbell Boulevard in Nottingham (21236) for a report of an assault. Authorities determined that the victim was using a rideshare service when he and the driver got into an argument. The victim claimed that the driver got out of the car, forcibly removed the victim from the vehicle, began to assault him, stole his phone, and fled. The victim could not provide a detailed description of the suspect or the suspect’s vehicle.

At just after 7:15 p.m. on Sunday, December 25, an individual entered a home in the 12800-block of Belair Road in Kingsville (21087) without permission, loaded and discharged a gun, then proceeded to open several prescription bottles belonging to the victim before fleeing the scene.
