MIDDLE RIVER, MD—A Middle River man played fast and won fast, bringing home a $100,000 top prize on the FAST PLAY Winfall Doubler game. He told Maryland Lottery officials he favors FAST PLAY games compared to traditional scratch-offs.
“It is a lot more convenient to play,” he said of FAST PLAY games, explaining that “I want to know if I won right away.”
The Baltimore County resident is also a fan because he has won several hundred dollars on the game in the past. His prior wins were far short of his $100,000 prize, however.
“I have had a little luck with this game. Sometimes I have been hot and cold with FAST PLAY,” he said. “Recently, I have been cold, but I guess I got hot with this win.”
The lucky player said the $100,000 will come in handy because there were limited opportunities for work in recent years due to COVID-19 cancellations in his line of work.
“This will definitely help get me closer to retirement,” he said with a smile.
He bought the winning ticket at Kwik Mart in Middle River, located at 901 Middle River Road.
