CARNEY, MD—A Carney man is celebrating a landmark birthday.

George Harwood McCrea is turning 100 years old and a procession was held in Carney on Saturday in his honor, according to Councilman David Marks.

“Mr. McCrea epitomizes the service and sacrifice of ‘the Greatest Generation’,” said Councilman Marks. “We thank him for his bravery during the Second World War and wish him a happy 100th.”
