NOTTINGHAM, MD—A local icon has passed.
Dorothy Hinnant died early Sunday morning with her family by her side. She was 87 years old.
Hinnant was known by many as the unofficial “Mayor of White Marsh.”
Known for her love of God, love of White Marsh, and advocacy of both, she served as President of the Lorelely Beach Community Association for many years, according to Heather Patti, president of the White Marsh Cowenton Community Association.
“Ms. Dot served as a mentor and was a dear friend, and will be surely missed,” Patti said on Sunday.
