51-year-old Nottingham woman working as DoorDash driver shot, killed in northeast Baltimore ‘robbery gone bad’

NOTTINGHAM, MD—Police are investigating after a Nottingham woman was shot and killed in Baltimore City overnight.

At just after 2:15 a.m. on Monday, officers with the Baltimore Police Department responded to the 3900-block of White Avenue for a report of a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers located 51-year-old woman who had been shot.  The victim was pronounced dead at the scene and has been identified as Cheryl McCormack, who was working as a delivery driver for DoorDash.

Homicide detectives responded and are investigating this murder. Detectives have learned that this shooting stemmed from a “robbery gone bad” after the victim experienced car trouble and had pulled over on the side of the road.
