ESSEX, MD—At least one person has died following a late night fire in Essex.
The fire was reported at around 11:30 p.m. on Sunday in the 1000-block of Franklin Avenue (21221).
The blaze broke out on the eighth floor of a high-rise, which activated the building’s sprinkler system.
Initial reports indicate that one person jumped from the building and has died.
There has been no word on any other injuries.
