Parkville woman claims $100,000 Maryland Lottery scratch-off prize

PARKVILLE, MD—The wild winds of March brought a fortune to a lucky Parkville scratch-off player, who won $100,000 playing a 50X The Cash scratch-off from the Maryland Lottery.

The 50-year-old found her load of Lottery cash at a local Royal Farms store. She matched one of the five winning numbers on the $10 instant ticket and then revealed her $100,000 top prize.

This scratch-off went on sale January 18 with 10 top prizes, six of which remain outstanding. Lottery officials say the game also has nine unclaimed $50,000 prizes, 22 $10,000 prizes, and more than 400,000 prizes ranging from $10 to $1,000.

The 50X The Cash scratch-off belongs to a family of X Multiplier games. The five games —5X The Cash, 10X The Cash, 20X The Cash, 50X The Cash, and 100X The Cash — offer extra ways to win instant prizes of up to $1 million and second-chance prizes of up to $50,000. The final second-chance drawing will be held on April 28th.

The Royal Farms store located at 2700 Taylor Avenue (21234) in Parkville will receive a $1,000 prize for selling a $100,000 top-prize winning scratch-off.
