Wind Advisory issued for Baltimore area, storms approaching from the west

NOTTINGHAM, MD—The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory for the Baltimore area as a line of storms approaches the area on Sunday afternoon.

The advisory will be in effect at 8 p.m. on Sunday evening until 4 a.m.

West winds of 15 to 25 mph are expected with gusts up to 45 mph.

Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

Meanwhile, a line of storms is also approaching the Nottingham area.  These storms are expected to arrive between 4 – 8 p.m.

Isolated severe thunderstorms with damaging winds are expected on Sunday afternoon and into the early evening hours.  Forecasters say an isolated tornado is also possible.
