Police: Icy roads lead to over 50 crashes

NOTTINGHAM, MD—Icy conditions wreaked havoc on local roadways Tuesday morning.

Maryland State Police report that, from 5 a.m. to 9 a.m., troopers responded to 51 crashes and 16 unattended/disabled vehicles.

Police also answered 237 calls for service.

A warm-up is expected this week, with a high temperature of 48 degrees expected on Tuesday and a high of 54 degrees on Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service.
