UPDATE: Several additional fire companies were called in to battle this brush fire.  It took crews approximately four hours to contain the blaze.

MIDDLE RIVER, MD—Crews are on the scene of a large, Tuesday evening brush fire in Middle River.

The fire was reported at about 6 p.m. in the area of Pulaski Highway at Mohrs Lane (21220).

Units from the Baltimore County Fire Department, White Marsh Volunteer Fire Company, and Middle River Volunteer Fire & Rescue are on the scene.

Due to a heavy police and fire presence, motorists should avoid the area.
