Police investigating auto theft, purse-snatching in Middle River

MIDDLE RIVER, MD—Police are investigating an attempted burglary, a purse-snatching, and an auto theft in the Middle River area.

At just after 2:45 a.m. on Wednesday, May 6, an individual attempted to break into the Tobacco Outlet located in the unit block of Kingston Road (21220). The suspect broke a window with a hammer to try to make entry, then ran away. At 3 a.m., the suspect returned and pulled himself up to the window and tried to climb in but he didn’t fit and set off the alarm. The suspect was not able to enter and fled the scene after hearing the alarm.

At just after 7 p.m. on Wednesday evening, two armed suspects robbed two women at gunpoint in the 200-block of Wampler Road (21220). The suspects stole the victims’ purses, then fled the scene.

At just after 11:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 7, three individuals assaulted and robbed a victim in the 9800-block of Langs Road (21220). The suspects stole the victim’s car keys, then stole the victim’s vehicle.
