Weis Markets donates another $5,000 to Student Support Network

NOTTINGHAM, MD—Weis Markets has done it again.  The regional grocery chain has made another donation to a local organization that helps students in need.

Weis Markets donated $5,000 to the Student Support Network this week.

The Student Support Network helps students who are struggling with the effects of poverty and homelessness by donating food, clothing, school supplies, and personal care items.

Weis made the $5,000 donation in the form of grocery store gift cards.  The supermarket chain made a similar donation earlier this month.

“Today, we have a repeat Fifth District Good Samaritan of the day,” said Councilman David Marks. “Our friends at Weis Markets have donated ANOTHER $5,000 in gift cards to the Student Support Network, which contributes food and other items to vulnerable students and their families.”

“Rob Santoni Jr. and his employees at the Fullerton store recently dressed as superheroes – but they are heroes every day for their generosity,” Marks concluded.
