OVERLEA, MD—Police have released additional details on a shooting that took place near Overlea on Monday.

Officers responded to the area of Arnhem Road at and Leiden Road (21206) at around 8 p.m. for a call of a man suffering from a gunshot wound.

The man told police he had been walking on Arnhem Road when an unknown individual shot him.

The victim fled the area and was later taken to an area hospital for treatment of a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

The Baltimore County Police Violent Crimes Unit responded to the scene and is continuing to investigate the shooting.
