Engine crashes while responding to Edgewood house fire

EDGEWOOD, MD – A fire engine has crashed while responding to a Saturday afternoon house fire in Edgewood.

The fire was reported at just before 1:30 p.m. in the 1100-block of Shady Drive.

Reports indicate that the fire originated in the stove area of a house trailer at the scene.

Just after the call went out, a fire engine that was responding to the fire was reportedly involved in a crash in the area of Harford Square Drive at Woodbridge Center Way.

One citizen is trapped in their vehicle and the jaws of life are being used to free them.

Motorists should use caution in the area.
