Route 40 shut down in Joppa

JOPPA, MD – Motorists in the Joppa area should be aware or a Monday afternoon road closure.

At just after 4 p.m., the State Highway Administration reported that Route 40 had been shut down in both directions at the county line.

All northbound and southbound lanes have been shut down at Joppa Farm Road due to a utility issue.

Motorists should use an alternate route.
