NOTTINGHAM, MD – Police are investigating a robbery and an attempted burglary that were reported this week.

At about 4 a.m. on Wednesday, June 12, three individuals approached the front door of Boost Mobile, located in the 1200-block of Eastern Boulevard in Essex (21221) and unsuccessfully tried to break in by striking the glass door with a hammer and then kicking out the glass. All three suspects walked away without gaining entry.

At 1:15 p.m. on Wednesday, the Tobacco Quest store located in the 200-block of Ballard Avenue in Middle River (21220) was robbed of cash. The suspect displayed a firearm which later was determined to be an imitation rifle. The suspect then fled on a stolen bicycle.
