A motorist was rescued after becoming trapped in rising floodwaters in Essex on Friday night.

At about 9 p.m., emergency personnel responded to the 7300-block of Golden Ring Road (21221).

At the scene, firefighters found one vehicle floating after the motorist had attempted to drive through rising floodwaters.

Fire crews were eventually able to successfully rescue the driver.

No injuries were reported.
