UPDATE: Police have revealed that the victim died as a result of an accidental, self-inflicted gunshot wound to the upper leg.

The victim has been identified as Tyron Aldo Vice, 28, of Edgewood.

One person is dead following an overnight shooting in Edgewood.

At just after midnight on Friday night/Saturday morning, police responded to the 900 block of Woodbrige Court (21040).

At the scene, paramedics found a 28-year-old male who had been shot and was in trauma arrest.

The victim succumbed to his injuries.

Police have not yet revealed a suspect or motive for the shooting.
