‘Shop and Eat to the Beat’ all summer long at The Avenue at White Marsh

The Avenue Shop Eat BeatNow that construction on the new plaza is complete, with a grand opening scheduled for Saturday, The Avenue at White Marsh is relaunching its summer concert series for 2017.

“THE AVENUE LIVE! Shop and Eat to the Beat” will take place every Friday and Saturday from 7:00  to 9:00 p.m.  It will stretch from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend.

Patrons will be able to enjoy patio dining or they can grab a bite from one of The Avenue’s many eateries.  Attendees may also bring a blanket (no chairs).

The events will feature new musical talent every week.

For the convenience of those in need of additional seating, representatives from Perry Hall High School will provide chairs (appropriate for use on the turf) and blankets for rental. A minimum donation of $2 per chair or blanket is required. All proceeds will benefit the fundraising efforts of Perry Hall High School.

Please note – rented chairs must be utilized on a designated area at the back of the turf so as not to interfere with the blanket seating space.
* Please remember… B.Y.O. is prohibited at these performances. Only food and beverages purchased from The Avenue at White Marsh restaurants and eateries are permitted in the event area. The Main Plaza (event area), is designated smoke free.

Memorial Day Rock Fest 2017 to be held at McAvoy’s this month

McAvoysFor those about to rock…head to McAvoy’s on Memorial Day weekend.

The popular Parkville hotspot will be hosting the second annual Memorial Day Rock Fest on Saturday, May 20, 2017 from 5:45 p.m. to 1 a.m., presented by The Hope & Peace Foundation.

This amazing night of music will honor those who have made the ultimate sacrifice to ensure the freedom of American citizens.

A $10 donation will be requested at the door.

The band lineup is as follows:

6:00 – 6:50 p.m. Bristol Blue

7:05 – 7:55 p.m. Larry Dennis & Wild Rice

8:10 – 9:00 p.m. Stolen Identity

9:15 – 10:05 p.m. That Which Remains

10:20 – 11:05 p.m. No Nelsons

11:20 – 1:00 a.m. Old Skool

The event will also feature Gold Star Families, a silent auction, and 50/50 raffles. The proceeds will benefit our four chosen Veteran charities which will be announced during the show.

McAvoy’s is located at 2531 Putty Hill Avenue in Parkville.

Spring Concert Series 2017 returns to PHWMBA, PCBA

Spring Concert SeriesIt’s that time of year again.

Both the Perry Hall/White Marsh Business Association and Parkville Carney Business Association have announced their respective lineups for their 2017 Spring Concert Series.

The PHWMBA 2017 Spring Concert Series will be held every Friday in May at Perry Hall Middle School, located at 4300 Ebenezer Road, 21236.  All shows start at 6 p.m.

The Avenue at White Marsh to hold Plaza Grand Re-opening in May

The Avenue Plaza Grand OpeningThe long wait is almost over.

The Avenue at White Marsh will hold a Grand Re-opening of its new main plaza next month.

The event will be held on Saturday, May 20, from 5 to 9 p.m.

The event will feature live music from Unity Reggae at 5 p.m. followed by 8 Ohms at 7 p.m.

Attendees are welcome to bring a blanket (no chairs) and enjoy a beer or crushes available in the event area.
