Police in Baltimore County are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect who brutally assaulted a man he’d just met.

At around 11:30 p.m. on June 3, police responded to Franklin Square Hospital where the victim was being treated for serious wounds to his face and body.

Police determined that the victim had been eating at McDonald’s at 2119 Eastern Boulevard in Essex with a friend around 10:30 p.m. The victim initiated a conversation with another patron, the suspect, who became irritated at some point during their conversation. The victim attempted to diffuse the situation by leaving.

Moments later, as he was walking on Kingston Road near Firethorn Road, the victim was approached and attacked by the suspect, rendering him unconscious.

Police were able to obtain surveillance video of the suspect, who returned to the McDonald’s after the assault to clean himself up with napkins (video below).

Police investigate two commercial burglaries, one robbery

police-lightsPolice are investigating one local robbery and two burglaries that were reported on Tuesday.

At just after 1:30 a.m., two individuals threw a brick through a glass door to gain entry into the BP and McDonald’s in the 7500 block of Pulaski Highway in Rosedale (21237). Once inside, the two suspects stole a cash register and then fled the scene.

At just after 2 a.m., an individual came in through the roof of the China King restaurant, located in the 900 block of Middle River Road in Middle River (21220). The suspect removed money from the cash register, then fled the scene.

At just before noon, while in an alley in the 2100 block of Vailthorn Road in Middle River (21220), a man was robbed of his cell phone, credit card, and a personal identity item by a suspect who displayed a handgun.

Overlea bank, Nottingham delivery driver robbed

police-lightsPolice are investigating two robberies and an attempted robbery that have been reported in the Nottingham, Parkville, and Overlea areas.

At about 8:30 p.m. on Friday, July 21, while attempting to deliver pizzas on Duntore Place in Nottingham (21236), the driver was assaulted by five to seven suspects. The suspects stole one of the victim's pizzas and then fled the scene.

At about 4 a.m. on Sunday, July 23, an individual attempted to open the drive through window at the McDonald's located in the 7300 block of McClean Boulevard in Parkville (21234). An employee called the police, at which time, the suspect fled the scene in a vehicle.

At just after 2:30 p.m. on Monday, July 24, an individual entered the M&T Bank located in the 7600 block of Belair Road in Overlea (21236). The suspect, implying a weapon, demanded money from a teller and then fled the scene.

Police investigating robbery, 2 burglaries

Sometime between 8 p.m on Friday, July 7, and 7:45 a.m. on Saturday, July 8, an individual gained entry into tan apartment in the 8200 block of Pulaski Highway in Rosedale (21237). Once inside, the suspect stole the victim’s cell phones, jewelry, a key, a safe, a sound system and accessories.

At about 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 8, three individuals robbed a food delivery driver at gunpoint while he was walking back to his vehicle after just delivering an order on Landmark Court in Essex (21221). The suspects stole money and assaulted the driver.

At about 2:45 a.m. on Sunday, July 9, an individual damaged the drive-thru window at the McDonald’s located in the 7500 block of Pulaski Highway in Rosedale (21237) in order to gain entry. Once inside, the suspect stole cash from two donation boxes and fled the scene.
