Crews are responding to a serious Tuesday afternoon crash in the Fallston area.

At 3:15 p.m., the Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company reported that an accident had occurred at Mountain Road (MD-152) at Stratford Road.

Mountain Road has been shut down due to the crash.

One person is said to be trapped and in grave condition. ¬†Emergency personnel are using the “jaws of life.”

A medevac chopper is en route to the scene and will land at Reckord Road Park.

Motorists should avoid the area.

Two men injured in Gunpowder River boating accident

Boating AccidentTwo men from Pennsylvania were injured in a boating accident along the Gunpowder River on Friday evening.

The crash occurred at about 5:30 p.m. near Neptune Drive in Joppa.

Crews from the Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company responded to the scene and transported both patients to the Johns Hopkins Bayview Trauma Center.

Details surrounding the crash are scarce, however both men’s injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening.


Driver taken to Shock Trauma after tractor-trailer overturns in Joppa

One person was taken to Shock Trauma following a Wednesday morning crash in Joppa.

At about 8:40 a.m., crews from the Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company responded to the ramp from northbound Interstate 95 to MD-152.

At the scene, paramedics found that a tractor-trailer had overturned and had gone off the ramp.

The driver was taken to Shock Trauma in serious condition.

The ramp from I-95 to MD-152 remains closed at this time.

Motorists should expect delays in the area.


Crews working 2 serious Harford County crashes

Crews are responding to two serious, Tuesday night crashes in Harford County.

At just before 10:30 p.m., paramedics responded to the 2200 block of Belair Road in Fallston.

Reports indicate that two vehicles collided head-on.

Belair Road has been shut down in both directions.

At about 10:45 p.m., a second serious crash was reported at MD-152 and Hanson Road in Joppa.

That crash also involved a head-on collision.

The Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company is using the “Jaws of Life” to rescue one person who is trapped in their vehicle.

Motorists should avoid these areas.
