St. Isaac Jogues Fall Festival coming Sept. 29 & 30

St Isaac JoguesA new fall tradition is coming to Carney later this month.

St. Isaac Jogues Catholic Church will be holding its first annual Fall Festival on Friday, September 29 and Saturday, September 30.

The event will take place on the St. Isaac Jogues campus, located at 9215 Old Harford Road (21234).

Off-site parking will be available on Old Harford Road, at Pine Grove Middle School, and at Pine Grove Elementary School. A free shuttle bus will run continuously throughout the event to transport patrons, volunteers, vendors, and staff.

The event will feature rides, raffles, BINGO, live music, magic shows, live Irish dancing, vendors, food, and more.

Perry Hall Apple Festival 2017 to take place Sept. 16 & 17

Perry Hall Apple FesitvalThe 2017 Perry Hall Apple Festival will take place on Saturday, September 16, and Sunday, September 17, 2017.

The event will be held at Chapel Hills Farm & Nursery, located at 4350 Chapel Road in Perry Hall.

Activities will include an Amish apple butter demonstration, live bluegrass music by Arrow Horse (12-4 p.m. both day), chainsaw sculptures, face painting by Fantasy Artz, sack races, pony rides, tractor-drawn hayrides, and gator wagon train rides to the haunted woods.

There will also be a petting zoo, train rides, mini hay maze, and pedal tractors.

There will be plenty of food, including pulled pork, pizza, kettle corn, pit beef & put turkey, burgers, hot dogs, fries, apple cider, funnel cakes, and much more.

The festival will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on both days.

The event is hosted by the Perry Hall Improvement Association.

Get up close and personal with an antique fire engine – a 1949 Mack Engine. Learn more about supporting student success on the BCPS Parentmobile. See how good you are with hula hoops and jump ropes. Make cool paper rockets. Buy a delicious lunch from Flat Chance, Jimmy’s Famous Seafood, Maui Wowi Hawaiian Smoothies, or Pablo’s Toc O’s food trucks. Find a great book to read on the county library’s Bookmobile. Discover BCPS and community programs and services. Mingle with Doc the Tiger from Towson University. And enjoy the psychedelic funk of special musical guest The Groove Machine – a band comprised of seven Grade 10 students at George Washington Carver Center for Arts and Technology. This event is sponsored by The Education Foundation of Baltimore County Public Schools. Backpacks filled with school supplies, donated by Patient First, will be awarded as door prizes every 15 minutes.

Richardson Farms Sunflower Fest coming in June

Richardson Farms SunflowerA local farm is introducing a new festival that will be held next month.

Richardson Farms announced on Thursday that it would be holding its first-ever Sunflower Fest.

The event will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, June 24, 2017.

The event will feature food stations, beer, wine, and all proceeds will benefit the White Marsh Volunteer Fire Company.

Tickets cost $35 each or 2 for $60.  Attendees must be at least 21 years of age.

Richardson Farms is located at 5900 Ebenezer Road in White Marsh.
