The operator of the motorcycle that was struck was traveling from Philadelphia Rd toward Pulaski Highway and was struck by the lowering gate arm at the CSX rail crossing. The operator was ejected from the motorcycle, with both rider and bike coming to a stop on the tracks with a train approaching.
Another motorcyclist saw the incident occur and quickly removed the injured rider from the tracks. The motorcycle that crashed was then struck by the CSX train.
The first motorcycle operator was assessed and transported to a trauma center for non-life threatening injuries. CSX Police responded to investigate.

Emergency personnel are responding to an Tuesday afternoon incident involving a train in White Marsh.
Early reports indicate that, at just after 5:30 p.m., a train hit a motorcycle near the CSX crossing along Ebenezer Road at Pulaski Highway (21162).
The motorcycle operator reportedly suffered minor injuries after jumping from the motorcycle prior to being struck by the train.
The train has stopped at the scene.
Ebenezer Road is currently shut down between Philadelphia Road and Route 40.
Motorists should avoid the area.
Authorities are on the scene of a Friday morning crash involving a train in Joppa.
At about 11:30 a.m., reports indicate that a CSX train struck an individual in the area of Pulaski Highway near Joppa Farm Road.
Reports indicate that the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
No other details have been made available at this time.
Motorists should expect delays in the area.
A portion of a busy White Marsh road is set to be closed next week.
The White Marsh Volunteer Fire Company reports that Ebenezer Road will be closed at the CSX railroad crossing near Route 40 on Saturday, July 8, and Sunday, July 9.
The road is being closed so the tracks can be repaired.
Motorists should plan accordingly.

At about 5:45 p.m., the White Marsh Volunteer Fire Company tweeted that the railroad crossing on Ebenezer Road near Route 40 was malfunctioning.
The railroad crossing is currently stuck in the “down” position and traffic is unable to get by.
CSX has been notified of the issue.
There was no word on when the railroad crossing would be repaired.
