Fire reported at Nottingham Square shopping center

UPDATE: Authorities now say a contractor struck an underground electrical line. Approximately 12 business are without power. An underground fire is burning where the power line was struck. Evacuations are under way. Motorists should avoid the area. This will be an extended operation.

Crews are responding to a report of a fire at a White Marsh business.

At about 2 p.m. on Tuesday, units from White Marsh Volunteer Fire Company responded to the FedEx store in the 5200-block of Campbell  Boulevard (21236) after fire was reported at the location.

There has been no word on any injuries.

Motorists should use caution in the area.


Crash reported in White Marsh

The crash was reported at about 7:15 p.m. at the intersection of Honeygo Boulevard and Campbell Boulevard.

A second ambulance is being called to the scene.

Stranded motorist rescued from rising water in White Marsh

Crews rescued a stranded motorist from rapidly-rising flood waters in White Marsh on Tuesday evening.

At about 5 p.m., first responders from White Marsh Volunteer Fire Company responded to the area of Philadelphia Road at Campbell Boulevard for a report of an automobile stuck in the water.

The vehicle had stalled from high water on the roadway caused by a line of storms that had moved through.

The roadway was briefly shut down and the driver was successfully rescued


Vehicle flips in Nottingham crash

Crews are on the scene of a serious, Monday afternoon crash in Nottingham.

The crash was reported at about 3 p.m. along Campbell Boulevard between Philadelphia Road and Franklin Square Boulevard.

A Kia Soul overturned in the accident and was said to be on its roof.

Two patients were taken to a nearby trauma center for treatment of injuries sustained.

Motorists should use caution in the area.

WMVFC responds to Dick’s, I-95; car crashes into Middle River liquor store

White Marsh Volunteer Fire Company WMVFCThree Saturday afternoon incidents have drawn an emergency response in the White Marsh and Middle River areas.

At just before 1:30 p.m., emergency crews responded to the area of Compass Road at Martin Boulevard in Middle River (21220).  There, a car had left the roadway and plowed into the front of Beer Pump Wine and Spirits.  No injuries were reported.

At just before 2 p.m., the White Marsh Volunteer Fire Company responded to the Dick’s sporting goods store on Campbell Boulevard in White Marsh for a report of a burning smell.  At the scene, crews found that a belt had burned up in the store’s HVAC unit.  No injuries were reported.

At just after 2 p.m., the crews from WMVFC responded to an accident along northbound Interstate 95. An exact location was not given, nor was there any update on injuries.
