Police investigating assault, 2 burglaries, 2 robberies

police-lightsPolice are investigating an assault, two burglaries, and two robberies that were reported this week.

At 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 25, three individuals broke into an apartment on Aspinwood Way (21236) by forcing open the rear window. Various items were stolen before the suspects fled the scene.

At 12:45 p.m. on Wednesday, a man was in the area of Putty Hill Avenue at School Road in Parkville (21234) when he was approached by an armed man who demanded his money. The suspect fled the area when the victim began to call 911 on his cell phone.


At 9 p.m. on Wednesday, in an attempt to get two people out of his home in the 100 block of Margaret Avenue in Essex (21221), the occupant kicked in the bedroom door while brandishing a weapon. An altercation ensued, the victims were injured and the occupant was arrested at the scene.

At 3:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 26, an individual entered the Family Wash Day laundromat located in the 1400 block of Eastern Boulevard in Essex (21221), produced a knife, and then demanded the money from the office before fleeing the scene.

Sometime between 8:30 a.m. and 2:45 p.m. on Thursday, an individual broke the rear sliding glass door to break into a home in the 4700 block of Ballygar Road (21236).  The suspect stole various household items from inside before fleeing.

Royal Farms robbed, robbery at Regal Inn

robberyPolice are investigating three robberies that were reported in the Rosedale area over the weekend.

At just after midnight on Friday, December 22, an individual entered a room at the Regal Inn and Suites, located in the 8000 block of Pulaski Highway in Rosedale (21237), and displayed a handgun. The suspect stole the victims’ cell phones, cash, vehicle key, and vehicle – then fled the scene.


At about 4:15 a.m. on Saturday, December 23, an individual entered the Royal Farms store located in the 8800 block of Philadelphia Road in Rosedale (21237), implied a gun, and demanded that the cashier open the cash register. The cashier complied and the suspect then removed the cash from the register and fled.

At just after 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, an individual approached a woman in the 100 block of Aspinwood Way in Rosedale (21237), displayed a handgun, and demanded money. The suspect took the victim’s purse but then dropped it and fled on foot.

Robbery attempt reported at Royal Farms, shots fired in Essex

Police LightsPolice are investigating several local robberies, assaults, and burglaries that we reported over the past week.

At just after 10 p.m. on Thursday, September 14, an armed man entered the Royal Farms located in the 7900 block of Pulaski Highway in Rosedale (21237). The man approached the counter and demanded money from the register. The suspect then fled in a vehicle which was located nearby, at which time four suspects were taken into police custody.

At 12:30 a.m. on Friday, September 15, an individual produced a gun and fired shots toward a group of people in the 800 block of Eastern Boulevard in Essex (21221), The suspect fled the scene. The victims were not injured.


Sometime between 7 and 10:30 a.m. on Friday, an individual broke into an apartment in the 100 block of Aspinwood Way in Rosedale (21237) via the bedroom window. The suspect stole various items from the apartment before fleeing the scene.

At about 7 p.m. on Friday, an armed man robbed another man of his cash and cell phone in the 800 block of South Marlyn Avenue in Essex (21221).

At 2:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 16, a man broke into the Subway restaurant located in the 1700 block of Chesaco Avenue in Rosedale (21237) while a second individual stood outside. The suspect stole money from the cash register, then fled with the other suspect.

Police investigating 3 local burglaries

burglaryPolice are investigating a trio of residential burglaries that took place over the holiday weekend.

Sometime between 2:30 p.m. on December 30 and 7:45 a.m. on December 31, an individual entered an apartment in the 100 block of Aspinwood Way, 21237, via a bedroom window and stole clothing, jewelry, a laptop, and a computer tablet.

At 8:15 a.m. on January 1, an individual gained entry to a residence in the 1200 block of Four Winds Way, 21221, by kicking in the basement door. The suspect stole jewelry and a laptop computer.

Sometime between 8 and 11 p.m. on January 1, someone pried the screen from the rear window and entered an apartment along Pocono Court, 21237. The suspect then stole cash and jewelry before fleeing the scene.

Police investigating slew of residential burglaries

burglaryPolice in Baltimore County are investigating a handful of residential burglaries that have been reported to the Parkville, White Marsh, and Essex Precincts in recent days.

Sometime between 10 a.m. and 4:10 p.m. on Wednesday, October 26, someone entered a home along Townridge Court, 21236, and stole clothing, a game system, a personal identity item and a video game.

Sometime between 8:15 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 27, someone entered an apartment on Maidstone Court, 21237, by unknown means and stole a backpack, cash and a cell phone.

Sometime between 9:30 a.m. and 10 p.m. on October 27, someone entered an apartment on Aspinwood Way, 21237, by unknown means and removed coins and jewelry.

Sometime between 1:30 and 5:15 p.m. on October 27, someone entered a residence on Townridge Court, 21234, and stole cash, a duffel bag, jewelry, a personal identity item and a television.

At 10 p.m. on October 27, someone broke a lock on a gate and damaged the screen and glass on the basement door to gain entry to a home in the 1000 block of Foxridge Lane, 21220. The suspect then opened another door but was scared off by the homeowner.
