BALTIMORE, MD—The National Weather Service has issued a Tornado Watch for the Baltimore area.

The watch covers Baltimore County and Baltimore City and will be in effect until 2 p.m. on Friday afternoon.

Forecasters say wind gusts as high as 70 mph and quarter-sized hail are possible.

Residents should remain weather-aware throughout the day.
