Following van theft in their driveway, Seven Courts family asking neighbors to check surveillance camera footage

NOTTINGHAM, MD—Friday, March 18 started out like any other day for Robert and Ginger Griffey.

That all changed at around 7:30 a.m. when someone stole their van from their driveway in the 3800-block of Perryhurst Place (21236) in the Seven Courts community

The suspect reportedly dumped a stolen Jeep on Perryoak Place prior to stealing the Griffeys’ van, which they then crashed on Seven Courts Drive. The suspect fled into the woods.

The Griffeys’ van was totaled and they want to get the suspect off of the streets.

“We are asking folks in the area to assist us with any video footage from security cameras/ring door bells etc.. from Friday morning from about 7 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.,” Robert Griffey told NottinghamMD.com.  “Officer Potts is the officer on the case…410-887-5310.”

“(Please call police) if you have any footage showing a thin shorter man in all dark clothes walking or a silver mini van come in and leave again,” said Ginger Wallace Griffey in a post in a local online community.

“Please contact Officer Potts at 410-887-5310 and reference (case number) 220770642.”
