NOTTINGHAM, MD—The Party City store located in White Marsh will soon be closing.

The store located at 5216 Campbell Boulevard will be closing sometime in January, according to reports.

Last year, Party City announced plans to permanently close 21 stores “at a future date,” as brick-and-mortar locations continue to become less fashionable, and less profitable, among major retailers.

The pandemic has taken a toll on the company, as has the global helium shortage.

The company launched a “store optimization” plan that began in 2019 with 55 store closures.
