NOTTINGHAM, MD—A dedication ceremony was held in Nottingham on Saturday morning to honor two local heroes.

The bridge located at White Marsh Boulevard and Belair Road (8200 Belair Road) was dedicated to the memories Sergeant Eric M. Houck and Staff Sergeant Christopher O. Moudry.

Sgt. Houck, a Perry Hall native and graduate of Perry Hall High School, was killed in Afghanistan on June 10, 2017. He was 25 year old at the time. He had married his high school sweetheart and had two children. His name was added to the Baltimore County War Memorial in August 2017.

Sgt. Moudry died on October 4, 2006 serving in Operation Iraqi Freedom. Also a graduate of Perry Hall High School, he was an accomplished athlete and member of Boy Scout Troop 746. He was 31 at the time and is survived by two children.

The bridge dedication was approved by the Maryland State Roads Commission.

“We are honored to recognize these two outstanding leaders,” commented Jack Amrhein with the Perry Hall Improvement Association.
