ROSEDALE, MD—Police are investigating an attempted carjacking that was reported in Rosedale over the weekend.

At just before 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 30, a man was approaching his vehicle at the Liberty gas station located in the 8500-block of Philadelphia Road (21237).

As he was doing so, he was assaulted by a suspect who attempted to carjack his vehicle.

Unable to drive the vehicle, the suspect exited the vehicle and fled the scene.

Patrol units then apprehended the suspect.
