Baltimore County government offices to close on Thursday, BCPS to remain virtual

NOTTINGHAM, MD—Baltimore County Government Offices will be closed on Thursday, February 18, 2021, due to the impending snowstorm.

Emergency and essential employees must report .

Department of Health COVID-19 testing and vaccine clinics are cancelled for Thursday and Friday. Those who had an appointment will receive an email with a new appointment date.

Residents scheduled for trash pick-up on Thursday should put out materials and leave them until they’re collected. Crews will pick-up as soon as possible based on weather conditions.

Recycling pick-up will be cancelled for Thursday and Friday.

Baltimore County Public Schools officials, meanwhile, have announced that virtual learning will continue on Thursday. Athletic practices will be moved to virtual and/or games will be cancelled.

School employees are to work remotely.

”Essential” employees should report on time for assigned shifts.

“Essential as Needed” employees should report to work as scheduled (including working remotely) or may request to use leave time.

Other office staff should work remotely.
