Police investigating two local robberies

NOTTINGHAM, MD—Police are investigating a pair of local robberies that were reported in recent days.

At just after 8 p.m. on New Year’s Day, an individual exited a parked vehicle in the 1800-block of Wentworth Road (21234) and asked a man for directions. The man provided the directions and the suspect then demanded money.

The victim told the suspect he didn’t have any money and the suspect then displayed a gun and again demanded money. The man showed the suspect his empty wallet and the suspect then fled the scene in the vehicle.

At just before 10:30 a.m. on Monday, January 11, an individual in a vehicle approached a man in the 5600-block of Arnhem Road (21206) and asked to use his cell phone.

The suspect then drove off with the victim’s cell phone.
