Wind Advisory issued for Baltimore area on Christmas Eve

NOTTINGHAM, MD—A Wind Advisory has been issued for the Nottingham area for Christmas Eve.

The wind advisory covers southern Baltimore County and will be in effect from 6 p.m. on Thursday through 6 a.m. on Christmas Day.

The National Weather says to expect south to southeast winds of 20 to 30 mph with gusts of up to 50 mph.

Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

Motorists should extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects.

A Flash Flood Watch has already been issued as storms will likely accompany a passing cold front that will bring arctic air to the region by this weekend.
