ROSEDALE, MD—Police have released additional details surrounding Thursday’s officer-involved shooting in Rosedale.

Authorities say that, at just after 2:15 p.m., officers responded to the area of Philadelphia Road at Spring Avenue (21237) in response to a report of a man holding a knife and a blade.

The man was subsequently shot in the upper body and was taken to an area hospital conscious and alert.

Philadelphia Road was shut down as the investigation unfolded.

Neither the suspect nor the officer have yet been identified.
