NOTTINGHAM, MD—Heavy rain is in the forecast for the Nottingham area.

The National Weather Service says showers and a few thunderstorms will expand in coverage across the region on Tuesday evening and into the overnight hours.

Some of the rainfall will be locally heavy at times with isolated instances of flooding.

Damage wind gusts are also possible.

A few showers will linger on Wednesday morning before ending.
