NOTTINGHAM, MD—Police are investigating several local crimes that were reported over the past week.

At just before 10:15 p.m. on Saturday, August 29, a food delivery driver attempted to deliver food in the unit block of Woodcove Court in Carney (21234). Two suspects assaulted the driver and stole his cash.

At just before 7:45 p.m. on Sunday, August 30, during an argument in the 8700-block of Cimarron Circle in Parkville (21234) a known individual pointed a gun at the victim.  Police arrived on the scene and arrested the suspect.

At just before 1:30 a.m. on Monday, August 31, a driver stopped at a stop sign in the area of Maple Avenue at Linden Avenue in Overlea (21206) when a vehicle pulled in front of him and stopped. Two armed individuals exited the vehicle and approached the driver. One of the suspects ordered the man out of his vehicle and then drove off in the victim’s car. The other suspect drove away in his vehicle.

At around 8 p.m. on Tuesday, September 1, two individuals went to the parking lot of Gunpowder Elementary School, located in the 9500-block of Holiday Manor Road (21236), expecting to purchase marijuana from someone they had met via the Snapchat app, according to police.  As the two victims were sitting in their vehicle, they were approached by an individual (presumably the person they had met on Snapchat) who produced a handgun and demanded their property.  The suspect stole cash and a backpack with personal items, then fled in an unknown direction. The backpack was recovered in a dumpster on school property.
