TOWSON, MD—Fire officials say the inner loop of I-695 will remain shut down through the afternoon following a Thursday morning crash involving a tractor-trailer.

The crash was reported at around just after 10 a.m. along the inner loop between the Charles Street and York Road exits.

The tractor-trailer, which ended up on its side, was transporting polyurethane.

The Baltimore County Fire Department reports that there was no fire and there is no chemical leakage at this time.

Hazmat crews, along with crews from the Maryland Department of the Environment, have responded to the scene.

The driver was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Officials say the inner loop will remain closed for several hours.
