Man struck by train in Edgewood

EDGEWOOD, MD—A medevac chopper is responding after a man was struck by a train in Edgewood.

The incident reportedly occurred at just after 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning near the Edgewood Amtrak station in 2200-block of Old Edgewood Road.

The patient has been critically injured, according to the Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company.

Motorists should avoid the area.
