NOTTINGHAM, MD—Councilman David Marks confirmed to NottinghamMD.com on Tuesday after that police have arrested the suspect connected to Monday evening’s fatal shooting in Nottingham.
At around 6:30 p.m., police responded to Stillmeadow Road near Dunfield Road (21236) for a report of a shooting.
Upon arrival, officers found an adult male victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene and has not yet been identified.
Councilman Marks says the suspect, who has also not yet been identified, was arrested on Tuesday. Authorities maintain that this was a targeted shooting.
Marks has since reiterated that he feels it is time to open a police substation in the Dunfield/Belmont area.
