NOTTINGHAM, MD—The Maryland Department of Health reported on Sunday that the state has confirmed over 18,000 total cases of novel coronavirus. In addition, the state has also recorded over 78,000 negative test results.

As of Sunday morning, there were 18,581 COVID-19 cases in Maryland.

There have been 827 related deaths, 3,962 hospitalizations, 78,084 negative test results, and 1,177 individuals have been released from isolation.

Baltimore County has confirmed 2,509 COVID-19 cases and and 71 deaths while Harford County has confirmed 319 cases and 4 deaths (editor’s note: for the sake of accuracy, NottinghamMD.com is not including deaths categorized as “probable”).

The U.S. has already passed the projected peak hospital resource use date (4/17) and the date of the projected peak in deaths per day (4/15), according to HealthData.org.

On Friday, April 24, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported that, nationally, visits to outpatient providers and emergency departments for illnesses with symptoms consistent with COVID-19 continued to decline and are below baseline in many areas of the country.
