MIDDLE RIVER, MD—The National Weather Service has issued a Coastal Flood Advisory for portions of Baltimore County.

Forecasters expect up to six inches of inundation above ground in low lying areas due to tidal flooding.

The flooding is expected in southern Baltimore County and in Baltimore City.

The advisory will be in effect from 2 a.m. to 8 a.m. EDT on Sunday, especially around the time of high tide.

Tides of up to one and a half to two feet above normal are possible. The next high tide at Fort McHenry will occur at 4:46 a.m. The next high tide at Bowley Bar will occur at 6:08 a.m.

If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of unknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone property.

Time of high total tides are approximate to the nearest hour.
