ROSEDALE, MD—Maryland State Police responded to a minor, two-vehicle crash on Monday morning involving a van transporting nine prisoners.
Seven of the prisoners were taken by ambulance to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center in Baltimore. The other two prisoners were transported by ambulance to MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center. All nine prisoners remain under police watch.
The two correctional officers in the van were uninjured and have responded to both hospitals to guard the prisoners while they are receiving medical treatment for injuries sustained in the incident.
