PERRY HALL, MD—Police are investigating an apparent assault and robbery of students that occurred at Perry Hall High School.

The White Marsh Precinct says that there was a “robbery of three juveniles on the basketball court at Perry Hall High School after school hours (on Tuesday). The suspects assaulted one juvenile and took property, including a phone. We are investigating the case.”

Councilman David Marks has issued the following statement regarding the attack:

“This is a repulsive attack on our students and I hope those responsible are found and prosecuted fully.

“I have worked very hard to create new neighborhood watch programs and respond to community concerns about public safety as best as I can, but this highlights the need for more police officers commensurate with our increase in population. The County Executive must propose more police positions, either through a Budget Allocation Transfer or in the Fiscal Year 2021 budget.

“People are scared. In politics, perception is reality, and few believe that crime is not increasing. The perception is also that Baltimore City’s failure to control crime is causing our safety and quality of life to deteriorate.”
