UPDATE: The State Highway Administration says that two lanes have been reopened and only the left lane of the I-605 inner loop remains closed at Route 702.

ESSEX, MD—Crews are on the scene of a Sunday afternoon crash in Essex.

The crash was reported at around 4 p.m. along the inner loop of I-695 at Route 702.

The inner loop of the beltway has been shut down at Route 702.

There has been no word on any injuries.

Motorists should use an alternate route.
