KFC, 7-Eleven robbed

NOTTINGHAM, MD—Police are investigating several local robberies and assaults that were reported over the past week.

At just before 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday, October 15, three individuals were engaged in a verbal altercation in the 2200-block of Middleborough Road in Essex (21221). During the course of the altercation, the suspect grabbed a butcher’s knife, approached both victims, and threatened to kill them. The suspect was then placed under arrest.

At just after midnight on Sunday, October 20, four individuals forced their way into the KFC located in the 7300-block of McClean Boulevard in Parkville (21234) and demanded money. The suspects stole a cell phone and two money cards from one of the employees before fleeing on foot.

At just 3 a.m. on Monday, October 21, a man entered the 7-Eleven in the 7600-block of Belair Road in Overlea/Fullerton (21236), demanded cash from the register, and pointed a knife at the victim, forcing the victim to hang up the phone as he was trying to call the police. The suspect stole cigarettes and then fled on foot but was apprehended shortly thereafter.
