UPDATE 2: Regarding the heavy police presence, authorities say the suspect assaulted a police officer while being placed under arrest. The suspect ran from police as he was being walked to the squad car.
Police continue to search for the suspect. They say no schools were affected and no roads were closed.

WHITE MARSH, MD—Police are searching for a suspect in the White Marsh area.
The perp search began at just before 2:30 p.m. on Friday in the area of Route 43 at Perry Hall Boulevard.
Aerial and K-9 units also seem to be involved in the search, according to multiple witnesses.
One witness reported seeing K-9 units along Beaconsfield Road.
