EDGEWOOD, MD—Authorities are on the scene of a fatal crash in the Edgewood area.

The crash was reported at about 12:15 p.m. in the area of Route 24 at Route 755 (Edgewood Road/Emmorton Road).

Route 24 is currently closed in both directions.

Personnel from the Maryland State Police Crash Team are now on the scene.

Motorists should avoid the area.
