PERRY HALL, MD – A man is in police custody after fleeing from a traffic stop on Wednesday night.

Reports indicate that, at around 8:30 p.m., an officer attempted a routine traffic stop in the area of Perry Hall Boulevard at Beaconsfield Drive.

The suspect pulled over, then bailed from his vehicle and fled on foot into the woods nearby.

After a brief foot pursuit, the suspect was apprehended and now faces several traffic charges.

Police indicated that there was no threat to the community.
